We've been around for about a year now. Yeah, it's taken me that long to get a website up and a blog going. Of course, I've got a day job -- professor of history at Southwestern Adventist University in a little burg called Keene just south of Fort Worth, Texas.
But in that year's time we've learned a lot: how to assemble a children's book, indie publish it through CreateSpace and Amazon.com, and get it out to you good people. And we've published two books, as you can see on our homepage.
Last year we had a little, rather informal launch party to herald the arrival of our first book, Jean-Pierre Bear. Next week, on December 2, we're having a bigger launch of our second book, Hercule's Bad Grade. It's sponsored by our great friend Dr. Susan Gardner, an English professor at SWAU, and her English lab, the Write Spot. Many thanks to her and everyone else who is helping.
They've come up with a terrific poster for the event. You can see it below.
I'll be back here often, talking abut the indie publishing process, telling you more about Apple Tree and our publishing house, Great Good Fortune Studios, and more about ourselves.
And, hey, tomorrow is Thanksgiving 2014, so I want to say that we are so thankful for all the support you've given us, and for all our friends who have helped us get this far. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!
